Aztec Boy Update

Just wanted to give an update on where Im at with my Aztec boy. The rig isnt really working yet, Im having trouble with skinning, but I got him posed and changed some textures.

rigging

This weekend I took on the task of rigging my little aztec boy. I finally got the rig working fairly good. It still needs a few tweaks and I havent learned how to do facial rigging yet.

So this week I modeled and textured my aztec boy for my video game. He still doesnt have a name yet but I'm considering "Atlaua" (Aztec water god). The materials I used still need a little work, but currently I'm working on rigging him so I can animate him and get him posed.

Video Game!


For my video game development class we are creating a 2D parallaxing side scroller using Unity.  My game isn't named yet, but I have the artwork for it. Throughout the semester Im going to be keeping the same concept but creating a 3D side scroller.

Duchess Room

I just realized I haven't posted a very updated version of my progress on the model of the room for the duchess scene. So here's about where I'm at. Currently I'm working on modeling out the Duchess herself, so in this scene I'm posting there's just an odd floating head where I've started working on her.

Harry Potter- Great Hall

One of the first environments I ever modeled was sophomore year and I modeled the great hall from Harry Potter. Well, looking back on that this year I realized how awful it was, so I decided to re-model it. So here I've posted first the original model from sophomore year, and then my new model from senior year.

Duchess change

So after a discussion with one of my professors I am changing the story behind Duchess. She is now a ghost who is consistently waiting for someone, perhaps her one true love. So everywhere that the light touches is going to be perfect and pretty as if preserved. Everywhere there is darkness is going to be torn apart and old, except for her. She will stay pretty and perfect except wherever the light doesn't touch her will be transparent and ghost like. So I went through my concept piece and quick changed it.
